Weary from the two-hour ordeal, the moose lay shivering on the ice. “It didn’t have much energy left. We didn’t know if it was going to be able to stand up or not,” Lt. Higgins recounted. After a tense 15 minutes, the moose regained its strength, stood up, and made its way back into the woods. ”It was just an amazing sight to see that huge moose stand up right in front of us,” he added.
