The latter features a mild hybrid system with a 3-liter inline six-cylinder engine – and a system output of 398 horsepower. This model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

It also includes more aggressive styling, four exhaust pipes at the rear, and larger wheels, and brakes.

The asking price for the 2025 model with 23,000 kilometers is 1,399,000 Norwegian kroner.

Range

However, the plug-in hybrid is likely the most relevant option for most buyers. This is due to favorable tax treatment in the Norwegian system – and the ability to drive solely on electricity for many journeys.

The X3 30e has a range of 86 kilometers. This means that many drivers will be able to rely on electric power for their daily commutes.

The vehicle combines a 2-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor, delivering a total of 299 horsepower.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.2 seconds.

The X3 30e can tow up to 2 tons, the same towing capacity as the electric iX3.

Interior

Many BMW buyers will appreciate that this generation of the X3 has the “old” infotainment system, which means you have a menu dial and quick-menu buttons. This avoids the need to use the touchscreen.

you get a car that “no one” else has. These are very rare on Norwegian roads.

Tax regulations are, of course, the reason why BMW has chosen to focus on the electric vehicle instead.

If you opt for the new iX3, you’ll get a very well-equipped car at around 300,000 kroner less…
