Lebanon Attacks: Israeli Strikes Cause Deaths & Injuries | Latest News

At least six people have been killed and 23 injured in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, according to reports emerging Friday, February 20, 2026. The escalating violence raises concerns about a potential widening of the conflict in the region.

The Israeli military has been targeting areas of southern Lebanon with drone strikes and machine-gun fire. Details remain limited, but the strikes have reportedly impacted the towns of Merkaba, and Houla.

Ahmad Termos was reportedly killed in the town of Talousa, and reports indicate violations of a recent agreement concerning Lebanon. The circumstances surrounding Termos’ death and the nature of the agreement violations are still under investigation.

According to reports from the Al-Quds newspaper, Israeli attacks have repeatedly targeted southern Lebanon.

The Al-Quds Al-Arabi reported a disturbing account of an interaction between an Israeli soldier and a member of Hezbollah prior to the soldier’s death. The soldier allegedly said, “You’re going to die, you and whoever is with you, or alone.”
