SC Austria Lustenau kicked off the second half of the season with a thrilling 2-1 victory over KSV 1919 on Friday, February 20, 2026. The win keeps Austria Lustenau firmly in contention as the season progresses.
Lustenau Dominates Set Pieces
The visitors started brightly, with Thomas Maier firing an early shot that didn’t trouble Domenik Schierl in goal (2nd minute). However, Austria Lustenau quickly took control, with Abubakar finding space in the 15th minute, only to be denied by a solid save from KSV keeper Colic.
As the first half wore on, Lustenau increasingly threatened, particularly from set pieces delivered by Lukas Ibertsberger. Bouchenna narrowly missed connecting with one such delivery in the 32nd minute, and Wade saw his close-range header sensationally saved by Colic in the 41st minute.
