A modern series, “Sahab Al Ard” (Companions of the Land), is sparking a significant reaction in Israeli political and media circles. Since the release of its trailers and through the airing of its second episode on Thursday evening, Israeli media outlets have responded with a mix of illogical criticism and unsubstantiated claims, according to reports.

Critical Acclaim and Public Interest Meet Israeli Pushback

As “Sahab Al Ard” gains both critical praise and a growing audience following the broadcast of its first two episodes on dmc and Al Hayat channels, the backlash from Israeli media has intensified. The series stars Mona Shalaby, Eyad Nassar, and a cast of Palestinian and Arab actors.

Channel 12 in Israel published an article criticizing the series even before it was viewed, alleging it’s an attempt by Cairo to improve its image. This came despite widespread praise from Palestinian national figures, faction leaders, and residents of Gaza for Egypt’s role since the start of the October 7th war and through the ceasefire.

Unsubstantiated Claims: What Did Channel 12 Say About “Sahab Al Ard”?

The article reportedly spread misinformation about the relationship between Egypt and Palestine, attempting to downplay Egypt’s efforts to assist the people of Gaza. It claimed, without providing evidence, that Egypt faced harsh criticism from Palestinian and Arab officials.
