France Télévisions is preparing an extensive broadcast plan for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, from February 6 to February 22, 2026. The network will deliver fifteen hours of live coverage each day, offering comprehensive access to the games for French viewers.

Following the success of the Paris 2024 Summer Games, France Télévisions is once again mobilizing its resources to cover the 25th edition of the Winter Olympics. A latest 24-hour sports channel will be launched on the france.tv platform, supplementing the coverage on France 2 and France 3. Broadcast teams will be positioned throughout the competition venues to capture the key moments and athlete stories.

The games will be held across eight locations:

  • Milan: Opening ceremony, figure skating, short track, speed skating, ice hockey
  • Cortina d’Ampezzo: Women’s alpine skiing, bobsleigh, luge, skeleton, curling
  • Bormio: Men’s alpine skiing and ski mountaineering (a new event)
  • Anterselva: Biathlon
  • Livigno: Freestyle skiing and snowboarding
  • Predazzo: Ski jumping and Nordic combined
  • Tesero: Cross-country skiing and Nordic combined
  • Verona: Closing ceremony

France Télévisions aims to build on the success of previous Winter Olympics, hoping to surpass the national record of 15 medals achieved at both the 2014 Sochi Games and the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. The network’s comprehensive coverage will allow fans to follow every event, day and night, as athletes compete for Olympic glory.
