Polish Police Seize 33kg of Narcotics in Major Chojnice Bust

Polish authorities have intercepted over 33 kilograms of narcotics with an estimated street value of nearly 2 million PLN following a coordinated raid in Chojnice. The operation, which concluded on April 7, 2026, resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of a significant cache of drugs and cash.

The bust was the culmination of several weeks of intensive operational work conducted by the Central Investigation Bureau of Police (CBŚP) in collaboration with the Criminal Division of the District Police Headquarters (KPP) in Chojnice. Investigators spent weeks monitoring individuals suspected of ties to organized drug trafficking to identify the key players in the operation.

During the enforcement phase last week, officers first detained a 37-year-old man. A subsequent search of his vehicle and a storage unit he utilized revealed more than 30 kilograms of marijuana. This initial arrest triggered further operational activities, leading police to a local apartment.

At the residence, officers arrested a 29-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman. During the search of the premises, police uncovered an additional 3 kilograms of amphetamine. In addition to the narcotics, authorities confiscated nearly 30,000 PLN in cash to be held against future penalties.

All three suspects were processed through the District Prosecutor’s Office in Chojnice, where they were formally charged with narcotics-related crimes. A court has since ordered the temporary detention of two of the suspects.

The scale of the seizure and the coordination between local and national agencies underscore the ongoing efforts by Polish law enforcement to dismantle drug distribution networks and prevent large quantities of psychotropic substances from entering the black market.
