Police officers traveled to the indicated location by helicopter to secure both the human remains and personal items found at the scene.

Following the recovery, the prosecutor’s office opened an investigation to determine the identity of the victim and the circumstances surrounding their death.

Scientific investigations confirmed the identity of the individual as a Swiss citizen born in 1969, who had been missing for 31 years.

The statement clarified that two climbers disappeared in the area on November 4, 1994. The first of the two was found in 2000.
