Bogotá Traffic Today: November 24 – Protests & Congestion Updates

Bogotá residents should prepare for traffic restrictions and service disruptions on Monday, November 24, due to a combination of vehicle restrictions and ongoing protests.

  Closure of Mixed Lane Street 26

  Transmilenio informs that normal operation is interrupted on Street 26 with Caracas Avenue. As a result, the fleet is forced to turn around at the height of the National University.

  Transmilenio reports that Street 26 with Caracas Avenue is experiencing service disruptions. Consequently, the fleet is forced to turn around at the height of the National University.

  Demonstrations on Seventh Avenue

  Transmilenio communicates that service has been restored on Carrera 10, as well as near the Universidad Distrital Asab campus and also the Technological campus. 
  The protest is moving north, with demonstrators from Carrera Décima moving to Calle 27 with Carrera 7, near the National Museum, causing a complete blockage in both directions .

  Las Nieves Station Reopened

  Transmilenio informs that the Las Nieves station has resumed service. However, a counterflow remains on Carrera 10 between streets 19 and 22.

  Authorities report that the tractor-trailer on Street 13 with Carrera 105 has been removed from the eastbound lane. Traffic is now returning to normal.

  Authorities report congestion on Street 80, heading out of Bogotá, due to works on the Medellín Highway. Authorities are regulating traffic on Carreras 104, 114, and 120.
