Lindvall and farmer Pontus Mikaelsson connected on “Farmer Wants a Wife” in 2020. The show, a popular format internationally, often leads to lasting relationships and public interest in the contestants’ lives.

They welcomed their first child, Iselin, in 2022, and baby Malte arrived earlier this year.

However, Lindvall’s latest pregnancy was shadowed by a difficult diagnosis.

“I’ve been living in a nightmare since the end of February,” she wrote on Instagram.

That’s when Lindvall learned she had breast cancer.

“The doctor looked at me with a serious expression. The world completely collapsed in front of me, and the shock made my whole body tremble. It just couldn’t be true,” she shared on Instagram.

“There I sat. Without any family member to hold my hand. On a hospital bed in an examination room. With the baby kicking in my stomach. Cancer in the breast. Anxiety in my body. Panic. Pure and utter fear of death.”

“Need to Heal”

Doctors acted quickly, and Lindvall began chemotherapy the following week.

Nine weeks later, Malte was born.

“At the end of April, we finally got to meet a perfectly beautiful little baby who entered the world a month earlier than expected.”

Since then, Lindvall has continued with chemotherapy and underwent surgery. She’s also received radiation and is now preparing for further immunotherapy treatment.

“There’s so much more to tell, but I’ll stop here for now. I’m still in my illness bubble and need to heal both physically and mentally from everything that’s happened. Mostly mentally. The physical wounds have already gotten their scars,” she wrote on Instagram.

How Lisa is Doing Today

Lindvall told Expressen she is feeling better now, but is not yet cancer-free. However, her prognosis is much improved since her initial diagnosis.

Sharing her cancer journey on Instagram was frightening for her.

“But I’ve been gathering courage for months as I realized it could be big news. I feel stronger and braver today, and I hope all women, young and old, take the time to regularly examine their breasts.”

Since sharing her story, Lindvall has been overwhelmed with love and support.

“Which brings me to tears every time I read the comments.”
