Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) continues to invest heavily in its logistics infrastructure with the delivery of the “Al Safah,” a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier built in China [[2]]. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) subsidiary, ADNOC Logistics & Services PLC, has taken delivery of the “Al Safah,” the fourth of six new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers contracted with China’s Jiangnan Shipyard. The company announced the vessel will soon commence its first commercial voyage.
The delivery of “Al Safah” is part of a multi-billion dollar fleet renewal program designed to increase capacity and enhance the operational capabilities of ADNOC Logistics & Services. This investment underscores the company’s commitment to building a versatile fleet focused on energy efficiency and capitalizing on global opportunities within the growing market for lower-carbon energy resources.
Strong performance during the first nine months of 2025, the company noted, reflects the success of its strategic initiatives and disciplined execution. The fleet renewal and expansion program is expected to contribute to increased profitability and support the company’s long-term focus on delivering value to shareholders.
The vessel handover ceremony was attended by Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO of ADNOC Logistics & Services, and Fatima Al Nuaimi, CEO of ADNOC Gas, who served as the vessel’s sponsor and named the ship.
This joint celebration highlights the close collaboration between ADNOC Logistics & Services and ADNOC Gas in supporting ADNOC Group’s integrated value chain and contributing to the responsible fulfillment of global energy needs, while prioritizing sustainability and operational excellence.
