Nintendo is continuing to expand the value proposition of it’s Switch Online service with a surprising addition to its retro gaming music library. Subscribers can now access the complete 76-track soundtrack from the 2010 Wii title, Wii Party, through the Nintendo Music app. The move reflects a growing trend of incorporating classic game music into subscription offerings, offering a nostalgic experience for longtime fans and a glimpse into gaming’s past for newer players.

Nintendo has quietly expanded its retro gaming library with the addition of the complete soundtrack from Wii Party to the Nintendo Music app, available to subscribers of Switch Online.

The collection features all 76 tracks from the 2010 title, totaling two hours and six minutes of music. While perhaps not the most requested addition, the Wii Party soundtrack has gained a following for its upbeat, lounge-style melodies – a common characteristic of many Wii-era games.

Released in 2010, Wii Party served as a casual, family-friendly alternative to the Mario Party series, utilizing the Wii’s Mii avatars. The game was developed by NDcube, now known as Nintendo Cube, which later took over development of the Mario Party franchise starting with Mario Party 9.

The addition of game soundtracks to Switch Online is part of Nintendo’s ongoing effort to add value to its subscription service, offering fans a nostalgic trip through its extensive gaming history. This move highlights the growing trend of retro gaming and the enduring appeal of classic soundtracks.
