Veteran Indonesian television presenter Jaja Mihardja is again under medical care, prompting concern among fans and colleagues. The 84-year-old entertainer was briefly hospitalized in Jakarta due to a vascular issue in his leg, according to updates shared saturday by fellow entertainer Irfan hakim and confirmed by Mihardja’s daughter, Vita. While this marks his second hospitalization this year – he was previously treated for lung, kidney, and blood sugar issues in July – reports indicate Mihardja has since been discharged and is recovering at home.
Jakarta –
Veteran Indonesian presenter Jaja Mihardja is once again receiving medical care at a local hospital, confirmed by recent updates from fellow entertainer Irfan Hakim. The news was initially shared via Hakim’s personal Instagram account, offering a glimpse into Mihardja’s condition.
Photos posted by Hakim show Mihardja resting in a hospital bed, though he appeared to be in good spirits, smiling and engaging in conversation with his colleague. The update quickly prompted concern and well wishes from fans familiar with Mihardja’s long career in Indonesian television.
Mihardja’s daughter, Vita, has since confirmed that her father is doing well. “Thank God, he’s healthy. Yes, Irfan Hakim visited,” Vita told detikcom on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

Vita also shared that Jaja Mihardja has been discharged and is now recovering at home. “Yes, he’s already home,” she added.
According to Vita, her father’s hospitalization was due to a vascular issue in his leg. “The artery in his leg was swollen, so the blood wasn’t flowing properly and it was making it hard for him to breathe,” she explained.
This isn’t the first time Mihardja has required hospital treatment this year. He was previously admitted in July 2025, receiving a visit from Ruben Onsu, who has become like a son to him.
That earlier hospitalization was related to issues with his lungs, kidneys, and blood sugar. The latest health scare for the beloved presenter underscores the challenges faced by many in the entertainment industry as they navigate the demands of a public-facing career.
