TF1‘s “Dance with the Stars” launched its fifteenth season to strong viewership numbers, solidifying its position as a leading entertainment program in France. The premiere, broadcast across two parts on January 23rd, drew a combined 3.60 million viewers, demonstrating the continued appeal of the celebrity dance competition. The program’s success is particularly notable for its strong performance among the FRDA-50 demographic, a key target for advertisers, and signals a promising start to the season for the network.

TF1 launched the new season of “Dance with the Stars” to impressive ratings, topping the charts in French television viewership. The premiere, broadcast in two parts, drew a total of 3.60 million viewers – representing 19.9% of the overall audience and a remarkable 37.8% among the key FRDA-50 demographic – from 9:13 PM to 10:07 PM. The second portion of the show then captivated 2.84 million viewers, achieving a 22.9% share of the total audience and 48.1% among FRDA-50s between 10:17 PM and 11:34 PM.
For comparison, last year’s season launch on February 7th attracted 3.68 million viewers (18.6% PDA 4+ and 30% PDA FRDA-50) followed by 3.22 million viewers (22.0% PDA 4).

Throughout the day, TF1 led all networks with an average audience share of 19.2%, ahead of France 2 at 14.5%. France 3 followed with 8.2%, and M6 secured 6.6%. France 5 landed in fifth place with a 4.5% share, surpassing W9 (3.6%), Arte (3.0%), and TMC (2.7%).
“Dance with the Stars” proved to be a ratings winner, particularly with the FRDA-50 demographic, a key audience for advertisers.
France 2 came in second place with its crime series “Bêtes de flic” starring Fred Testot. The latest episode drew 3.06 million viewers, translating to a 17.8% share of the overall audience and 3.7% among FRDA-50s. The previous week, a rerun of “César Wagner” attracted 3.13 million viewers (18.8% PDA 4+ and 5.1% PDA FRDA-50).
Rounding out the top three, France 3’s “La boîte à secrets,” hosted by Faustine Bollaert, captivated 1.19 million viewers – a 7.7% share of the total audience and 2.8% among FRDA-50s. Featuring Tina Arena Ycare and Elie Semoun, the show saw a slight dip from the previous week’s 1.39 million viewers (9.1% PDA 4+ and 2.0% PDA FRDA-50).
France 5 closely trailed France 3 and edged out M6 in the ratings.
France 5 secured fourth place with “Bullitt,” attracting 1.16 million viewers – a 6.9% share of the overall audience and 0.2% among FRDA-50s. M6 finished fifth with the French film “10 jours encore sans maman,” starring Franck Dubosc and Aure Atika. The 2023 release garnered 1.08 million viewers, achieving a 6.5% share of the overall audience and a strong 12.7% among FRDA-50s. The week prior, the magazine show “Arnaques!” drew 1.12 million viewers (6.5% PDA 4+ and 8.4% PDA FRDA-50) followed by 953,000 viewers (6.9% PDA 4+ and 10.4% PDA FRDA-50).
