Amsterdam prosecutors have expanded the charges against the man on trial for the August murder of Lisa in Duivendrecht, adding allegations of a separate attempted sexual assault in the city’s Weesperzijde neighborhood. The new accusation, revealed today, centers on an incident that occurred just days before the confirmed assault and lisa’s death, and further complicates the case already underway in Amsterdam District Court. Details surrounding the attempted assault emerged from a re-examination of evidence initially investigated as a robbery.

The man on trial for the murder of Lisa in Duivendrecht last August 20th, and for the sexual assault of a woman in Amsterdam, is now also suspected of attempted sexual assault, also of a woman in Amsterdam.
Authorities had previously confirmed they were investigating a separate incident that occurred around the same time.
The sexual assault took place on August 15th on Weesperzijde street in Amsterdam. The attempted sexual assault under investigation occurred on August 10th on the same street. Initially, police investigated the August 10th incident as an attempted robbery. However, an investigation revealed that blood found on a shoe believed to belong to the suspect matched the victim of the attempted assault, according to the Public Prosecution Service.
The first court hearing in the case of Lisa’s murder and the sexual assault took place in late November. The attempted sexual assault was not addressed at that time and will be discussed at the next hearing on February 11th.
The suspect has given the name Chris Jude, which is also being used by prosecutors, but his true identity remains unknown. He claims to be from Nigeria but does not have identification. He is believed to be approximately 22 years old.
The man was arrested on August 21st at an asylum seeker center in Amsterdam, initially in connection with the August 15th sexual assault. A connection to Lisa’s death was later established.
