Sharjah Women’s Sports Club Dominates at Arab Women’s Games

Sharjah, UAE – Sharjah Women’s Sports Club secured the gold medal and championship title in the team recurve bow competition on the final day of the archery events at the 8th Arab Women’s Games, which are being held in Sharjah and run through February 12. The team of Maha Al Hosani, Hessa Al Owadi, and Fatima Al Balushi delivered a standout performance in the final round.

Abu Dhabi Archery Club claimed the silver medal, with team members Mira Al Saygh, Maryam Al Saygh, and Huda Al Ali. The Kuwaiti Shooting Club rounded out the podium with a bronze medal, earned by Reem Al Naqeeb, Suad Al Bahar, and Nour Al Shrehan.

The individual recurve bow competition saw a thrilling finish, with Qatari archer Reem Al Saei of Al Rumaihi Sports Club taking the gold medal after a consistent showing in the final. Maha Al Hosani of Sharjah Women’s Sports Club earned the silver, while Huda Al Ali of Abu Dhabi Archery Club secured the bronze.

In the compound bow individual event, Fatima Saad Al Mashhadani of Iraq’s Al-Taliaa Air Lines Club took first place after a strong run through the final rounds. Sharjah’s Amana Al Owadi finished second, and teammate Rowda Al Owadi earned the bronze.

Sharjah Women’s Sports Club continued its impressive run in the team compound bow competition, winning gold and the championship cup with a team comprised of Amana Al Owadi, Sarah Al Mazmi, and Metha Al Nuaimi. They defeated Abu Dhabi Archery Club, represented by Hamda Al Suwaidi, Dima Al Kaabi, and Maryam Al Hosani, in the final. The competition was closely contested throughout, showcasing a high level of skill from all participants. This victory further solidifies Sharjah Women’s Sports Club’s position as a dominant force in the tournament.
