Actor Yasser Galal says he will always cherish his role portraying Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in the series “Al-Ekhtiar 3” (The Choice 3). Galal described the role as the best and most essential of his artistic career, stating he will remain proud of it for the rest of his life.

The actor shared his sentiments during a February 9, 2026, phone interview on the “Al-Hayat Al-Youm” program, according to Youm7. He as well expressed excitement about his upcoming participation in the Ramadan drama season with the series “Kulluhum Beyhebbou Moody” (Everyone Loves Moody), noting that the new project is markedly different from his previous work and requires significant effort from the entire team.

Galal emphasized that he consistently adheres to the artistic principles he learned early in his career, instilled by esteemed mentors like the late Ahmed Zaki and Yahiya El-Fakhrani. He believes the essence of acting lies in versatility, and a performer’s true value is measured by their ability to embody diverse and distinct characters, leaving a unique artistic imprint with each role, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported.

The actor also highlighted his pride in portraying President Sisi, stating it was a role he would always treasure, as noted in Bawabat Al-Shuruq. Galal’s commitment to diverse roles reflects a broader trend in Egyptian television towards complex character studies and high-production-value dramas.

In a separate statement, Galal also expressed his desire to represent Egypt’s soft power through his roles, specifically mentioning his work in “Al-Shuyukh” (The Elders), according to Al-Masry Al-Youm.
