Pop superstar Chappell Roan has parted ways with her music agency following revelations of ties between the agency’s CEO and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The decision by pop star Chappell Roan to leave her talent agency comes after reports surfaced linking the agency’s CEO to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
“No artist, agent, or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions so deeply conflicting with our own moral values,” Roan wrote on social media Monday, according to Deadline.
“I refuse to stand by passively,” she continued.
Roan had been a client of Wasserman since 2023. She follows other artists, including Best Coast and bands Beach Bunny and Wednesday, who have also parted ways with the agency in recent days.
Wasserman’s name appeared in documents related to Epstein that were made public last month.
Wasserman, who leads the organizing committee for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, issued an apology for the correspondence at the time.
“I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell that took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light,” he said in a statement.
“I never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein,” Wasserman added.
