Oppo is expected to debut the Find X9 Ultra in China in March, with recent unofficial details about the device’s specifications recently surfacing. Rumors focus on the smartphone’s battery and display and suggest a relatively quick international rollout will follow the Chinese launch.
The latest information indicates the Find X9 Ultra will feature a 6.83-inch 2K OLED display manufactured by BOE. Even as prototype units are currently operating with a 144Hz refresh rate, industry sources suggest the final version available for commercial sale will likely be capped at 120Hz. Powering the device will be a substantial 7,050 mAh battery, a significant upgrade from the 6,100 mAh battery found in the Find X8 Ultra.
While it’s too early to make definitive claims, the battery size may remain consistent between the Chinese and European versions of the phone. The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Find X9 Ultra is too expected to feature a primary camera module equipped with a 200-megapixel Sony Lytia 901 sensor, alongside a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto unit.
The camera setup will also include a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and a second 50-megapixel telephoto camera capable of 10x optical zoom. For photography enthusiasts, an optional 300mm teleconverter kit will also be available. The device is anticipated to launch in the Chinese market in March, with international availability expected between April and June. Color options may include black, brown, and orange.
