Prospective buyers of exclusive Ferrari models may first need to demonstrate brand loyalty by purchasing other vehicles from the Italian automaker, according to recent company statements. While Ferrari has confirmed it will not mandate the purchase of electric vehicles as a prerequisite for accessing its most sought-after models, the practice underscores the increasing demand and limited availability of its high-end offerings.

“It would be very foolish to impose on customers something they don’t like,” stated Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna. “I believe that would be the biggest possible mistake, so we need to learn from our own mistakes and likewise learn from the things others in the market are doing wrong.”

Vigna also indicated positive initial feedback surrounding the upcoming “Ferrari Luce” electric vehicle, slated for unveiling in the spring. The company anticipates a smooth market entry for the model. Ferrari’s move into the EV space is being closely watched by investors as the automotive industry shifts toward electrification.

The official presentation of the Luce is scheduled for May 25 in Rome, Italy, where a special event will be held to commemorate Ferrari’s first all-electric model. The launch event is expected to draw significant media attention and further solidify Ferrari’s position in the luxury automotive market.
