US-Europe Relations: Democrats Seek to Reassure Amid Trump Concerns

Several leading U.S. Democrats attempted to reassure European allies at the Munich Security Conference that the strained relationship between the United States and Europe is only temporary.

“Trump is gone in three years,” said California Governor Gavin Newsom.

However, even with Donald Trump no longer president, a potential improvement in relations isn’t guaranteed, according to U.S. Expert Dag Blanck.
