Influencer Emilie Nereng (30) and Michael Hansson (35) celebrated their marriage with a lavish wedding in Croatia this summer. The festivities took place at a large villa in the popular vacation city of Split, where the couple hosted around 90 guests.
Nereng has been sharing intimate moments from what appears to be a romantic honeymoon.

Recently, the newlyweds spoke with Nettavisen at a press event for the upcoming TV 2 program “Showtime,” in which the couple will compete as a team.
They shared several details about their honeymoon during the event.
– We chose to do it right
The honeymoon spanned three different destinations.
– We started in Cape Town, then went on safari in Sabi Sands, which is part of the Kruger area, and finished on Mauritius. Absolutely magical,” Nereng enthusiastically told Nettavisen.

The couple didn’t shy away from admitting that both planning and finances played a significant role in making the adventurous trip a reality.
– We set aside money. We had a wedding account where we thought, ‘Okay, what are we going to apply it for?’ At the same time, we’re house hunting. Luckily, we haven’t bought anything yet, due to the fact that that would have made it harder to prioritize the trip. We were pretty clear that you might not get to take a trip like this many times in your life,” Nereng explained.

Michael pointed out that the last two years have been marked by a lot of work for both of them.
– It was similarly a celebration of two good years. We’ve both worked very hard. Now we really wanted to take the time to be together. When you’ve worked so much separately and felt the cost of that, you have to treat yourself to something in return,” he said.
– We didn’t need to take such an expensive honeymoon to have a great time, but this time we chose to do it right,” Nereng added.
They didn’t reveal the total cost, however.
– No, that’s a secret,” they said in unison with a laugh.
– But we like to invest in experiences,” Nereng added.
– Almost got divorced
During the honeymoon, Nereng frequently shared photos from romantic settings. In one post, she jokingly wrote, “Almost got divorced.”
– That was meant humorously, of course.

Nereng explained that the couple was supposed to go hiking in Cape Town, and were aiming to reach the top of both Table Mountain and Lion’s Head in one day. With little food or drink in their stomachs, their blood sugar dropped relatively quickly.
– We hadn’t brought enough food or drink with us, and suddenly we went the wrong way. Eventually, I got mad at Michael,” Emilie said with a laugh.
– Everything irritated me. “Now he’s walking in front of me again, ten meters ahead of me!”

Michael’s tumble didn’t improve the situation.
– I fell on the mountain, and then Emilie got annoyed because it ruined the progress of the hike,” he said.

Despite the minor squabbles and low blood sugar, they look back on the day with a smile.
– It was really one of the best days. We have so many memories from that day,” Nereng said.
– Almost got divorced
– So, no divorce during the honeymoon?
– No, the marriage is still on,” the couple replied with a laugh.
