For sun worshippers, Greece and Spain are particularly popular destinations. Eurowings offers up to twice-daily flights to Palma de Mallorca and twice-weekly flights to Barcelona. Gran Canaria and Tenerife are available until early May. Ibiza has also been added back to the summer flight schedule. Ryanair complements the Spain offerings with Alicante, which is served twice weekly year-round. The Greek islands of Karpathos, Corfu and Zakynthos are accessible weekly, while Kos is served twice a week, and Crete and Rhodes even three times a week. Eurowings partners also bring passengers from Salzburg to Southern Italy – Lamezia Terme, Sardinia (Olbia and, new this year, Cagliari), Corsica, Burgas, and Cyprus. Year-round service is also available to Egypt (Hurghada). Tunisia (Monastir) is also on the flight plan weekly, as is Corendon, which flies up to four times a week to Antalya.
Exciting City Breaks
For those not seeking a beach vacation, a city break offers a compelling alternative. Sightseeing, shopping, culture, and culinary experiences await in numerous metropolises. Consider a short trip to London, Amsterdam, or Hamburg. Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Frankfurt are also quickly and easily accessible with short flight times. Belgrade is connected to Salzburg twice weekly year-round. Istanbul boasts a unique atmosphere, bridging East and West, tradition and modernity. Dubai, the city of superlatives, is also accessible several times a week year-round from Salzburg. New for 2026: GP Aviation will connect Pristina with Salzburg twice a week during the summer. Eurowings flies to Marrakesh, also known as the Red City, in southwestern Morocco, until May.
Flight and Cruise Packages
From late August to early November, Eurowings, in partnership with tour operator Eurotours, will fly passengers weekly from Salzburg to Genoa. These combined offers – flight plus cruise – are bookable through Hofer Reisen.
