Budapest-Bamako Rally participants Tamás Fejes and László Lukács took a break from the competition to celebrate a birthday in style in Benidorm, Spain.

Fejes shared a video on Facebook Wednesday showing himself and Lukács relaxing in a luxurious hotel suite overlooking the sea after driving over 2,600 kilometers. The Tankcsapda band members are currently competing in the Budapest–Bamako Rally, a challenging off-road race often dubbed the “fapados Dakar.”

The video offered a glimpse into their accommodations, showcasing a lavish suite with stunning ocean views. Fejes also highlighted that February 19th marked Lukács’ 58th birthday, which they celebrated with decorations including a sash, a badge, balloons, and a bottle of alcohol—as well as an unexpected guest. Fejes joked about the guest, saying:

“Seem at this! We don’t have time to pick up girls, we’re constantly on the road, so Laci got one. And the fact that there’s an opening in the back… everyone decide for themselves, or write in the comments whether you think the lady is up for it or not. The important thing is, the party’s starting, there’s no stopping!” Fejes exclaimed in the video, which has already garnered over half a million views.

Fans responded with playful comments, with one asking when “the new girlfriend” was manufactured.

“2009, 305,000 km,” Fejes quipped in response, according to story.hu.

Lukács announced his separation from his wife, Piroska, two years ago, as reported by Index.hu.

Lukács and Fejes are tackling this year’s Budapest–Bamako Rally in a Mercedes Sprinter 4×4. The rally, despite its name, will conclude in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, rather than Bamako. The band is also scheduled to perform on February 25th in the middle of the Sahara Desert, in Dakhlah, where they will introduce their new guitarist. The Budapest-Bamako Rally has become a popular event for celebrities and adventure enthusiasts alike, offering a unique challenge and a chance to explore the African continent.
