Jorge Martin: Ready to Return at Buriram MotoGP Test 2026

Jorge Martín is set to return to competition after a challenging 12 months marked by physical setbacks. The 2024 World Champion has been cleared to participate in this weekend’s Buriram Test, marking his first appearance on the RS-GP machine this year.

Martín missed the Sepang Test as he continued his recovery from surgeries to his left scaphoid and right clavicle. Both procedures were performed in December as part of his rehabilitation following injuries that sidelined him for much of the 2025 season.

Now fully recovered, the number 89 rider is ready to resume racing in Thailand, just one week before the season opener. This will be only his second on-track appearance since the San Marino Grand Prix in 2025, with the other coming at the season-ending round in Valencia and the subsequent test.
