Kaunas Žalgiris secured a €40,000 prize for their victory, while the runner-up, Vilnius Rytas, received €25,000.
The match at Šiauliai Arena began as a closely contested battle in the first quarter.
However, the second quarter saw Žalgiris decisively overwhelm Rytas’ defense. The Kaunas team won the quarter by a significant margin of 37-16, extending their lead to an impressive 28 points (61-33).
In the third quarter, Rytas briefly narrowed the deficit to 14 points (50-64), but Žalgiris quickly regained control and secured a comfortable win.
The Kaunas team’s victory was spearheaded by a strong performance from their foreign players, Sylvainas Francisco and Mosesas Wrightas. Francisco recorded a double-double (23 points, 10 rebounds) and achieved a performance index rating of 33, while Wrightas closely followed with 27 points, 5 rebounds, and a rating of 30.
Speedy Smithas (15 points, 6 rebounds, 18 performance index rating) and Ignas Sargiūnas (16 points, 4 rebounds, 12 performance index rating) were the standout players for Rytas.
