The Champions League Round of 16 draw is set for Friday and the potential matchups are beginning to grab shape. Several top teams, including FC Barcelona, had a bye to the knockout stage and will be seeded, meaning they’ll play the second leg at home.
Each of the remaining teams has two possible opponents. Barcelona could face either the defending champions, Paris Saint-Germain, or Newcastle United.
UEFA will not implement any restrictions during the knockout phase, opening the door for potential domestic clashes. This means Bayer 04 Leverkusen could be drawn against Bayern Munich, while Newcastle United might face Chelsea.
The draw will take place in Nyon at 12:00 PM CET on Friday, revealing the full bracket.
The first legs of the Round of 16 will be played on March 10 and 11, with the return legs following a week later.
