Grand Prix National de la Presse Agricole & Rurale – 10th Edition

The Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests has announced the launch of the 10th National Agricultural and Rural Press Award, recognizing excellence in journalism covering the nation’s agricultural sector. The competition aims to bolster specialized reporting on Morocco’s agricultural landscape and rural communities.

Established to support the growth of Moroccan agriculture, the award has develop into a key annual event for media professionals. It honors journalistic work that highlights strategic issues within the national agricultural sector, including modernization of farms, sustainable resource management, exports, agricultural technology innovation, and rural development.

The award is open to audiovisual, written, and electronic media outlets. Winners will be selected in four categories: written press, electronic press through video reports, television, and radio. A Grand Prix and Second Prize will be awarded in each category, with the jury too having the option to present a “Coup de Coeur” (Favorite) award for a particularly noteworthy piece. This initiative underscores the importance of informed reporting on agricultural policies, sector performance, and climate challenges.

Submissions must have been published or broadcast between March 25, 2025, and March 25, 2026. The deadline for submitting applications is 12:00 p.m. On Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Candidates can submit their work online or by mail to the Ministry of Agriculture’s Communication Division in Rabat.

The winners will be announced at the 17th International Agriculture Display of Morocco in Meknes, scheduled to take place from April 21 to April 27, 2025, with the Minister of Agriculture presenting the awards. The award’s creation reflects a commitment to strengthening journalism dedicated to serving agricultural industries and rural areas.
