According to a statement from the Royal Cabinet, the King discussed the safety of civilians and condemned the acts that targeted the allied nations. The discussions come as tensions rise in the Middle East, prompting international concern over the potential for a wider regional conflict.
The exchanges followed coordinated strikes by Washington and Tel Aviv against Iranian military and strategic sites, which the involved parties characterized as preventative measures. Iran responded with missile and drone launches targeting Israel, as well as bases in Gulf countries hosting U.S. Forces, leading to airspace closures and widespread international reactions. The development underscores growing regional instability and the risk of further escalation.
