Vannes, France is gearing up for a new kind of convention this February, blending the worlds of tattooing, and gaming. The inaugural Geek Tattoo Fest will take place at Le Chorus from February 28 to March 1, 2026, reimagining the former Vannes BD & Tattoo Expo.
The event promises a unique experience for attendees, offering the chance to connect with talented tattoo artists from across France and Europe. A dedicated space will also be set up for immersive video game experiences and other geek culture activities, complete with entertainment and attractions. The festival aims to cater to a broad audience, appealing to fans of both body art and interactive entertainment – a growing intersection of popular culture.
The Geek Tattoo Fest builds on the foundation of the Vannes BD & Tattoo Expo, evolving to embrace a wider range of interests. Organizers announced the concept change, stating, “On a décidé de changer de concept” – “We decided to change the concept.”
Registration for the Geek Tattoo Fest is currently open. Attendees can find more information, including a list of participating artists like Romain Pareja, Alex Colson, Vika, and Alex, on the InkArtists website. The event is also highlighted on World Tattoo Events and the Geek Tattoo Fest Facebook page, where 356 people have already expressed interest and 45 are planning to attend.
Alongside the Geek Tattoo Fest, Vannes and the surrounding areas of Auray will host a variety of other events during the same weekend, including winter schools and solidarity-focused “fest-noz” gatherings, offering a diverse range of entertainment options for locals and visitors alike.
