At least nine people were injured and 700 were evacuated early Sunday morning after a portion of the stage collapsed at the Archi Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The incident, which occurred around 5 a.m. Local time, has prompted an emergency response and raised questions about the structure’s safety.
The collapse took place at the nightclub located on Avenida Costanera Rafael Obligado 6551, according to reports. A metallic structure supporting lights and sound equipment fell onto tables where patrons were seated, impacting the VIP area of the venue, which overlooks the river.

Emergency services responded to the scene with ten ambulances, providing assistance to those injured. According to preliminary reports, two patients were transported to Hospital Pirovano, two to Hospital Rivadavia, and one to Hospital Fernández. The remaining injured received treatment on site and did not require hospitalization.
Firefighters and police personnel were dispatched to assist with the evacuation and secure the area. Authorities temporarily closed Avenida Costanera Rafael Obligado while emergency crews worked. The incident occurred as a London-based DJ was performing, forcing an abrupt halt to the set.
Initial investigations suggest the collapsed structure was not a permanent fixture of the Archi Club, but rather a temporary installation for a special event. The electronic music event had been delayed by an hour, starting around 1 a.m., due to logistical preparations for the installation.
The collapse underscores the importance of safety regulations and structural integrity at large public gatherings.
