Jakarta, March 1, 2026 – Realme is set to launch its 16 Series 5G in Indonesia on March 10, 2026, introducing a new camera technology called LumaColor IMAGE. Developed in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland, Realme claims LumaColor IMAGE will deliver more authentic and natural portrait photography results.
The technology aims to produce more natural-looking portraits with authentic skin tones, layered lighting, and emotionally vibrant atmospheres. Unlike conventional image processing systems, LumaColor IMAGE combines light and color processing simultaneously for a balanced and realistic result. This approach reflects a broader industry trend toward computational photography and AI-enhanced image quality.
LumaColor IMAGE also enhances multidimensional skin tone optimization and creates more natural depth-of-field effects. The technology is designed to separate subjects from backgrounds with a smooth bokeh effect, resulting in photos with the visual depth typically associated with professional cameras.
