A competing operator has similarly announced a similar move, offering a free 25-euro package.
Telekom is joining other providers in responding to the current situation in the Middle East. The company will offer customers a free 10 GB data package for use in nine countries in the region.
The free data package will be available to customers located in Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Jordan and Bahrain. The initiative aims to facilitate communication with loved ones and ensure access to information for customers even as abroad.
“From March 1st, we will automatically activate a free 10 GB roaming data package for 30 days for our customers in countries affected by the situation in the Middle East,” Telekom specified.

Telekom Will Automatically Activate the Package
The operator clarified that customers do not demand to activate the package themselves. It’s available to both prepaid and postpaid customers.
“The package applies to all customers, including those with prepaid cards, and will be activated automatically without any action required from your side. You will be informed of its activation via SMS,” the company added.
Telekom’s move follows similar actions by other market players. Operators O2 and Radosť are also offering a free 10 GB data package to their customers in the Middle East:
