Man Dies in House Fire in Mala Danylivka
A resident of Mala Danylivka died in a house fire on Sunday, March 2, according to Oleksandr Hololobov, head of the Mala Danylivka community. Hololobov reported the fatal fire occurred in the settlement, with a private home engulfed in flames. The fire resulted in the death of a local man. Preliminary investigations suggest the blaze was not caused by shelling.
“According to preliminary information, the fire was of a domestic nature. All the circumstances of the tragedy are being investigated by the relevant services. We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” Hololobov added.

Russians Launch Dozens of Drones at Kharkiv Region Overnight
Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and nine other settlements in the region over the past 24 hours, reports Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. Six people were injured in the attacks.
In Kharkiv, three women, ages 75, 69, and 53, experienced acute stress. In the village of Olshany, Solonytsivska community, a 75-year-vintage man and a 71-year-old woman were also stressed, and a 74-year-old man was injured in the village of Husyntsi, Kondrashivska community.
The attacks involved the following weaponry:
- two guided aerial bombs;
- eight Shahed-136/Geran-2 drones;
- two Molniya drones;
- an FPV drone;
- 33 drones (type is being determined).
The attacks damaged a multi-story building in Kharkiv, along with three dormitories. Windows were blown out at a children’s hospital and a store, and there was also damage to a park and an administrative building.
“In the Bohodukhiv district, power lines, an educational institution, and a cemetery (Zolochiv settlement) were damaged. In the Kupiansk district, a hotel (Hrushivka village) and a private house (Husynka village) were damaged. In the Izium district, a car (Yaremivka village) was damaged. In the Kharkiv district, four private houses and a car (Olshany settlement) were damaged,” Syniehubov added.

Ukrainian Forces Repel Russian Assaults in Kharkiv Region
Ukrainian defenders repelled six Russian assault attempts in the Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces attempted to break through three times in the areas of Prylypky and Zybyne. Three similar attempts were recorded on the northern part of the region, in the Kupiansk direction, near Peschane, Petropavlivka, and Hlushkivka.
“In total, 145 combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours. Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile attack, using one missile, 86 air strikes, and dropped 285 guided aerial bombs. They used 8,828 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,573 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops, including 46 from multiple launch rocket systems,” the General Staff noted.

Fires Break Out in Kharkiv Following Morning Drone Attacks
Fires erupted in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv following drone attacks early on March 2, according to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. One of the strikes caused a fire in a nine-story dormitory building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The fire damaged a window frame on the ninth floor, as well as a generator and debris in the courtyard.
The total area of the fire was ten square meters, emergency services reported.
ten fires broke out across the Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours, three of which were caused by Russian shelling. Emergency services also assisted residents with pumping water in the Izium, Bohodukhiv, and Kharkiv districts, as well as in the Industrial district of Kharkiv.

Russian Drones Swarmed Kharkiv Region Overnight, Explosions Heard in City This Morning
Russian drones were active over the Kharkiv region throughout the night. An air raid alert was issued in the city at 12:32 a.m. Air defense forces remained silent regarding new threats, and monitoring channels did not report any launches toward Kharkiv. Yet, at 3:40 a.m., guided aerial bombs began targeting the region.
Drone attacks on Kharkiv began in the early morning.
The all-clear was given for the city at 5:59 a.m., but the alert was reactivated at 6:26 a.m. As drones again targeted Kharkiv. Several explosions were heard in the city around 6:35 a.m. According to monitoring channels, two drones were destroyed by air defense. City officials had not yet reported on the consequences of the explosions or potential debris as of 7:05 a.m. The alert remains in effect in Kharkiv, with Russian drones continuing to be detected over the region.
