A 48-year-old man was found dead Wednesday evening in his vehicle in the Keşan district of Edirne, Turkey, prompting a police investigation.

According to early reports, authorities responded to a call near the Karlıköy Dam area, where witnesses reported finding the man unresponsive inside a parked car. Emergency responders arrived to find Ersin Çetin had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police discovered a handgun inside the vehicle and are investigating the incident as a possible suicide. Çetin’s body was transported to the Edirne Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy, officials said.

The father of two, who was married, reportedly shared a message on social media shortly before his death, writing, “Everyone should preserve their spirits up, the reason is health reasons.” The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to determine the circumstances surrounding Çetin’s death. The case underscores the importance of mental health awareness and available resources.
