Motorola is poised to unveil its next generation of foldable smartphones, the RAZR 70 and RAZR 70 Ultra, with the base model recently appearing in the database of China’s Telecommunications Equipment Certification Center (TENAA). TENAA certification is required before a smartphone can be sold in China and the process often reveals key specifications ahead of an official launch. Foldable phones represent a growing segment of the smartphone market, as manufacturers continue to innovate on form factors and durability.
The Motorola RAZR 70 appeared in the TENAA database under model number XT2657-2. According to the listing, the phone features a 6.9-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels. The external display is a 3.63-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1056 x 1066 pixels. The device measures 7.2mm in thickness and weighs 188 grams.
Security will be provided by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The RAZR 70 is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.75GHz, though the specific chipset is not identified in the TENAA documentation. The phone will be available with up to 18GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
Motorola is equipping the RAZR 70 with dual 50-megapixel rear cameras. Notably, the description indicates that the secondary sensor offers 3x optical zoom, suggesting the inclusion of a telephoto lens rather than an ultra-wide lens, a change from previous models. A 32-megapixel selfie camera is located on the inside, near the foldable panel.
Powering the device is a dual-cell battery with a combined capacity of approximately 4,500mAh. Given that the RAZR 60 series debuted in April 2025, expectations are that Motorola will unveil the latest editions of its foldable phones sometime this month or in early April.
