Stage IV Cancer: Artist Shares Late Diagnosis Story

“The tumor was probably in my body for 10 years. Screening came too late for me,” says illustrator, painter, and tattoo artist Peter Quirijnen (54). Three years ago, Quirijnen received a diagnosis of metastatic colon cancer. While a cure is no longer possible, the artist is determined not to let the illness define his life. “Death shouldn’t get in the way of my life.”
