PRAGUE – Czech actor Leoš Noha continues to work despite facing serious health challenges, a testament to his dedication to his craft. His heart was once functioning at only 12 percent capacity, a condition doctors considered life-threatening.
Leoš Noha has been battling significant heart problems for several years. He recently shared an update on his condition with Super.cz, stating, “I’m still breathing, which is certainly limited in time, because no one lives forever. My heart was working at twelve percent, and now I have it at forty-four.”
Despite once facing the possibility of a heart transplant, Noha says he hasn’t made drastic lifestyle changes. With his characteristic humor, he admitted, “I stopped watching Champions League games and started sipping on regional league matches.” He too doesn’t focus heavily on diet or exercise, adding, “Not anymore in old age, when a person is once used to bacon… A tree must bend although it is young.”
Noha also touched on his personal life, revealing he has not attempted to reconnect with his children, with whom he has had no contact for years. “We still don’t meet, the constellation isn’t right. They didn’t suppose of it, and surprisingly, neither did I,” he said, adding that he has internally closed that chapter of his life.
The actor’s continued work despite his health struggles highlights the resilience of artists and the enduring power of dedication to one’s profession. The story offers a glimpse into the personal life of a well-known figure and the challenges he faces while maintaining a public career.
