Patty Mills has not competed since the 2024-2025 season, when he played for the Los Angeles Clippers – his seventh team in the National Basketball Association.
The 183 cm (approximately 6 feet) tall guard spent the majority of his career (2011-2021) with the San Antonio Spurs and is also well-known to basketball fans for his representation of the Australian national team.
He participated in five Olympic Games with the Australian team, earning a bronze medal in Tokyo in 2021.
After several years with different NBA clubs, Mills’ scoring output had diminished and last summer he became the head coach of the University of Hawaii team.
Now, he will join the Tenerife team on the court as a teammate to Lithuanian player Roko Giedraitis.
The Spanish club currently ranks eighth in the ACB League championship and also has good chances of advancing to the knockout stage of the FIBA Champions League.
