Vivo has officially announced its latest flagship device will be called the Vivo X300s, resolving speculation that it would launch as the “Vivo X300 Max.”
The decision to go with the “s” designation, rather than “Max,” came after internal discussions regarding the scale of the phone’s upgrades, according to Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao. “We considered ‘Max’ due to the significant increase in specifications,” Boxiao stated. Vivo opted to maintain the consistency of its “s” series naming convention, with the “s” now representing “SuperMax.”
The Vivo X300s is specifically designed for users who prioritize a large display without compromising on camera capabilities. This approach contrasts with a recent industry trend among flagship smartphone manufacturers who are increasingly favoring more compact screen sizes for camera-focused models.
The device will feature a 6.78-inch BOE Q10 Plus display panel, and notably, the X300s will be the first model in the X series to support a 144Hz refresh rate. This high refresh rate is expected to deliver a smooth gaming experience, natively supporting 144FPS for Mobile Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games.
Vivo has also focused on user comfort, incorporating Zeiss color calibration and circular polarization technology into the display to help reduce eye strain. The combination of a large, high-refresh-rate display with advanced visual technologies underscores Vivo’s commitment to delivering a premium user experience. This focus on display quality signals a growing emphasis on immersive mobile experiences as smartphone technology matures.
