U.S. Forces have destroyed ten Iranian mine-laying vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, according to a statement released by President Donald Trump on Tuesday, marking the eleventh day of the U.S.-Israeli intervention in Iran. The Strait of Hormuz is a vital global shipping lane, and the incident raises concerns about potential disruptions to international trade.

“I am pleased to inform you that in the last few hours we have hit, and completely destroyed, 10 boats and/or inactive mine-laying vessels, and more to come!” Trump stated on his official social media account, Truth.

Prior to announcing the strike against the mine-laying vessels, President Trump issued a warning to Iran regarding the potential for mining the Strait of Hormuz. “If Iran has placed any mines in the Strait of Hormuz, and we have no reports that they have, we want them removed, IMMEDIATELY!” Trump wrote.

He further stated that, “If, for any reason, mines have been placed and are not removed immediately, the consequences for Iran will be on a military level like never before.”

Trump added, “If, they eliminate what may have been placed, it will be a giant step in the right direction!”

The development underscores escalating tensions in the region as the U.S. And Iran continue to engage in a complex geopolitical standoff. The announcement could influence future diplomatic talks and regional stability.
