Samsung is continuing its investment in glasses-free 3D gaming technology. The company showcased the advancements at the Game Developers Conference 2026, integrating the technology into latest models within its Odyssey display series.
Central to the innovation is the Odyssey 3D display, which utilizes advanced eye-tracking and a process called view mapping to generate a three-dimensional image without requiring users to wear 3D glasses. This technology represents a significant step toward more immersive gaming experiences.
According to Samsung, the system dynamically adjusts the image depth in real-time based on the user’s gaze, creating a more natural 3D effect even during quick-paced gameplay. The display also boasts a 165 Hz refresh rate and a 1 millisecond response time.
Alongside the new display, Samsung is building a growing library of compatible games through the Odyssey 3D Hub platform. Currently, the platform supports over 60 titles, with plans to expand the library to more than 120 games before the end of 2026.
Recently added games include “Hell is Us” and “Cronos: The New Dawn”.
