Students at Babenbergerring Gymnasium were treated to a special literary morning recently, as acclaimed actress, author, and voice artist Lena Raubaum captivated an audience of approximately 350 students in grades one through three during a vibrant author visit.

From the very beginning, the versatile artist held her young audience spellbound. With expressive delivery, humor, and visible enthusiasm, Lena Raubaum presented a selection of her poems and texts from her books, “With Words I Desire to Embrace You” and “I Have Something for You.” But this wasn’t a typical reading; the author transformed her performance into an engaging show, actively involving the students. She repeatedly invited the audience to speak along, think critically, and laugh together – demonstrating how lively and playful language can be.

In addition to her literary performances, Lena Raubaum also offered personal insights into her artistic journey. She shared how she found her path to literature, acting, and professional voice work, and recounted her experiences on stage and in creative writing. These authentic stories encouraged students to discover their own talents and embrace their creativity. The event underscores the importance of arts education in fostering self-expression.

The students were particularly enthusiastic during the final Q&A session. Numerous questions showed how much the encounter had stimulated thought, wonder, and curiosity. The author patiently and charmingly answered all questions, taking time for direct interaction with her young audience.

The event was widely regarded by the entire school community as an inspiring cultural experience. Lena Raubaum impressed not only with her literary skills but also with her open, humorous, and fascinating artistic personality.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the parents’ association and the school’s alumni association, whose generous financial support made this special author visit possible. Thanks to their commitment, students were given an impressive introduction to the world of literature and spoken language.
