Fore Coffee Indonesia’s popular Butterscotch Sea Salt Latte was co-created with the late singer Vidi Aldiano, a collaboration that proved pivotal to the coffee chain’s success, according to recent reports. The beverage, first launched in 2022, remains a top seller for the company.
Aldiano, who passed away on March 6, 2026, after a long battle with kidney cancer, served as Fore Coffee’s Chief Savor Advisor during a period of growth for the Indonesian coffee market. He wasn’t simply a brand ambassador, but actively participated in the development and curation of new menu items, including the now-iconic latte.
“I and Fore Coffee share the same values in our function, which is to break barriers with achievement and commit to entertaining and serving the people of Indonesia,” Aldiano said during the launch of The Classic Treasure Series on August 23, 2022.
Vico Lomar, CEO and Co-Founder of Fore Coffee, recognized Aldiano’s critical approach to coffee formulation as a valuable asset. He believed this perspective would contribute to the advancement of Fore Coffee in Indonesia.
The collaboration proved successful, with the Butterscotch Sea Salt Latte becoming Fore Coffee Indonesia’s best-selling menu item since its introduction in 2022. This success underscores the impact of celebrity endorsements and strategic product development in the competitive Indonesian coffee market.
Fore Coffee’s Chief Marketing Officer, Matthew Ardian, highlighted the significance of the partnership in a recent Instagram post. “2022 wasn’t an easy year. The industry was still trying to recover after Covid. In the midst of that, [Aldiano] came in as Chief Savor Advisor and collaborated with us to create the Butterscotch Sea-salt Latte, which is still our No. 1 menu item today,” Ardian wrote.
Ardian shared these sentiments following Aldiano’s passing on March 7, 2026, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to have worked with the singer and vowing to remember his legacy.
Currently, the Butterscotch Sea Salt Latte is available in regular size for Rp 33,000 and large size for Rp 40,000. Customers can continue to enjoy the beverage crafted by the late Vidi Aldiano as a tribute to his dedication and spirit.
