Israel’s military has vowed to respond “with force” to a barrage of rockets fired from Lebanon by Hezbollah, escalating tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border. The exchange of fire raises concerns about a potential wider conflict in the region.

According to reports, Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets toward Israel in recent hours. The group announced the start of a new military campaign targeting Israel, a move that follows a period of relative calm.

Israel’s national emergency medical service, Magen David Adom (MDA), reported that two people were injured in the rocket strikes. The development underscores growing regional instability as conflicts continue to flare.

Israeli media outlets, including “Channel 12” and The Times of Israel, reported approximately 100 rockets were fired.

“The Times of Israel” described the rocket attack as the largest launched by Hezbollah against Israel since early March, when the group resumed firing rockets after a prolonged pause. Those earlier attacks were reportedly in response to the killing of a senior Iranian commander in a strike attributed to Israel in February.
