The association of Friends of the Hatten Abri Museum held its annual general meeting on Saturday, February 21st, at the Cultural Space, with approximately sixty members and supporters in attendance. During the meeting, President Marcel Decker highlighted key events from 2025, including the inauguration of several memorial stelae.
Thierry Romang, a mechanical specialist already involved in equipment maintenance, has joined the committee, bolstering the technical team. This addition comes as museums increasingly rely on skilled technicians to preserve and restore historical artifacts.
Daniel Hoeltzel, director of the Saint-Nicolas Theater in Haguenau, presented his novel play, D’Vergessene Opfer, which focuses on forcibly conscripted women, known as the “Malgré-elles.” The bilingual production will be staged outdoors at the Abri Museum site. The play was written by Raymond Weissenburger at Hoeltzel’s request to complement the successful 2024 production about the “Malgré-nous,” those conscripted against their will.
Performances are scheduled from July 22nd to 26th, July 29th to August 2nd, and August 5th to 9th. The Abri Museum is open daily except Mondays, with the exceptions of Easter Monday and Whit Monday.
