As of March 12, 2026, the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, has recorded 25,273 probable cases of dengue fever. Of these, 7,719 cases have been confirmed, and 17 deaths are currently under investigation. To date, five deaths have been confirmed in the state as a result of dengue.
Regarding chikungunya fever, 3,678 probable cases have been reported, with 2,176 confirmed. One death is currently being investigated as potentially linked to the virus. Currently, there are no confirmed deaths attributed to chikungunya fever in the state.
In relation to Zika virus, 12 probable cases and 4 confirmed cases have been identified in Minas Gerais as of March 12, 2026. There are currently no confirmed or investigated deaths associated with Zika virus in the state.
