Crimson Desert offers a stable framerate and high image quality in its Quality and Balanced modes. The Performance mode, though, presents some challenges, with the framerate fluctuating between 50 and 60 frames per second during more demanding gameplay sequences. Without Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) enabled, this can result in noticeable screen tearing.
However, players with a display supporting VRR can unlock the framerate in Performance mode, potentially achieving between 60 and 70 fps in many areas, though the framerate will still drop during particularly intensive moments. This latest title showcases the ongoing push for higher fidelity and performance in open-world gaming.
