Ghost Ship Games, in collaboration with Ghost Ship Publishing and Coffee Stain Publishing, has announced a May release date for the early access version of Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core, a roguelite spinoff of the popular co-op shooter. The game will be available on Steam starting May 20th.
Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core challenges players to delve into abandoned mining facilities severed from external contact, battling the creatures and hazards that have taken hold within. Players will assume the role of Reclaimers – the dwarven security elite – and choose from five distinct classes, each offering unique strengths and abilities: Guardian, Spotter, Falconer, Slicer, and Retcon.
Progression in Rogue Core is designed around a roguelite structure, meaning players will upgrade their equipment and abilities as they advance through the game. This iterative approach to character development adds a layer of strategic depth to the already established Deep Rock Galactic formula. The game’s release comes as the roguelite genre continues to gain traction, offering players replayable experiences with persistent progression systems.
Interested players can currently add Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core to their Steam wishlists. The early access launch is scheduled for May 20th.
