Drama unfolded on the set of Brazil’s Big Brother Brasil 26 (BBB 26) on Friday, March 13, 2026, when contestant Ana Paula Renault refused to wear a dress selected for her by the show’s production team, calling it a “trap.” The incident occurred just before a special performance by singer Ana Castela.
Renault reportedly voiced her displeasure with the outfit and announced she would not wear it. According to reports, she was taken to the confession room where she continued to express her frustration. “Either I use the outfit or I don’t go to the show. I don’t go to the show,” she stated. “People, for me, everything in life is much easier than you can imagine. My head works differently.”
Another contestant, Jordana, overheard the exchange and shared details with fellow houseguest Gabi. “She said that either she wears the look or she won’t go to the party. Gabi said she heard from outside and she screamed, swore, things got heated,” Jordana recounted.
Following the confrontation, production eventually allowed Renault to attend the party after Ana Castela’s performance concluded after 12:30 a.m. On Saturday, March 14, 2026.
The incident comes as Renault currently leads in fan polls to win the season. As of Friday evening, an enquete from EXTRA showed Renault with 41.18% of the vote, ahead of Jonas Sulzbach at 22.73%.
